Bike-In Theater #4 – Schedule

We have a great lineup of dance workshops and performances and a special talk story on the state of publishing in Hawai’i. Come down to Old Stadium Park in Mo’ili’ili this Saturday November 16th from 4-8pm for a free, all-ages celebration of community in public space. Bring your gently used books to share and swap with other attendees, or just come prepared to discover some great finds, all for free. Special emphasis on keiki books! Raffle giveaways include a $50 prize package from the Hawai'i Book Publishers Association and gift certificates from local businesses including McCully Bikes, Down to Earth and Kokua Market. Down to Earth will also be in the park with free vegan treats. Bike-In 3.0 at Old Stadium Park – Sat Sept 7

Share & Swap AND Bike-In Theater 3.0! Nanette Geller from GreenWheel Food Hub will be on hand to teach us how to make pickles from fresh vegetables. Rachel Harvey and others from Kokua Hawaii Foundation will teach us how to upcycle old tshirts into handy-dandy bags. Folks from Cycle Manoa and other bicycle activists will set up a bike repair station and demonstrate bike maintenance. As part of our book swap, Dave DeLuca from the Hawaii Book Publishers Association is bringing some of the best that local publishers have to offer (including Bess Press!) to share with us. Once the sun sets, we'll be showing Ingredients Hawaii and short films about agriculture and urban gardening from around the islands.
